Shefali Verma is an Indian women's cricketer, born on January 28, 2004, in Rohtak, Haryana. She is a right-handed opening batter, known for her aggressive style of play and powerful hitting.
Shefali Verma made her international debut for the Indian women's cricket team in September 2019 in a Twenty20 International (T20I) match against South Africa. In her very first match, she scored 46 runs off just 33 balls and was named Player of the Match. She became the youngest Indian to debut in a T20I match and the second-youngest player in the world to achieve this feat.
Shefali Verma was also a part of the Indian team that reached the final of the 2020 Women's T20 World Cup. She played a crucial role in the tournament, scoring 163 runs in five matches, including a match-winning knock of 46 runs in the semifinal against England.
In March 2021, Shefali Verma became the youngest Indian to score an international half-century in a T20I match against South Africa. She was just 17 years and 165 days old at the time.
Apart from her international career, Shefali Verma has also played domestic cricket for Haryana and Velocity in the Women's T20 Challenge. She has been praised by several cricketers for her aggressive style of play and is considered as one of the most promising young talents in women's cricket.
