Suryakumar Yadav is a talented Indian cricketer who has made a name for himself in the domestic and international cricket circuits. He was born on 14 September 1990 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His father, Ashok Yadav, was a former government employee, while his mother is a housewife. Suryakumar Yadav started playing cricket at a very young age and honed his skills at the Shivaji Park Gymkhana in Mumbai.
Suryakumar Yadav made his first-class debut for Mumbai in 2010-11 and was soon regarded as one of the most promising batsmen in the team. He scored his maiden century in his second season and continued to impress with his consistent performances. He was also a part of the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) from 2011 to 2013 and then again from 2018 onwards.
Suryakumar Yadav's breakthrough season came in 2018-19 when he scored 508 runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at an average of 56.44. He followed this up with another impressive season in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he scored 226 runs in six matches at a strike rate of 190.75. His performances earned him a call-up to the Indian T20I team for the series against Bangladesh in 2019.
Suryakumar Yadav made his international debut for India in the T20I series against England in March 2021.
